I stand corrected.  I am told that I assumed "Titebond" was
the aliphatic resin version or yellow carpenter's glue.  The
company also makes Titebond Liquid Hide Glue in a bottle that
works well.

I never miss a chance to praise the virtues of hot hide glue.
