Hi All,  the player piano pictured is a Behr Bros. player, and most
likely it has a Standard player action.  While the 1926 Presto Buyer's
Guide has some nice things to say about the company and their player
pianos, it's very obvious to me that the instrument in the picture
has been abused and/or seriously neglected.

As evidenced by the condition of the key tops, it has most likely spent
a good number of years in an uncontrolled environment.  Professionally
speaking, when I see a player piano with keys in horrible condition, my
recommendation is "throw it away" or be prepared to spend over $10K
restoring 'everything'.

Is it worth it?  Why bother when there are so many players in much,
much better condition that are available for the cost of moving them!
