Market for Mechanical Musical Instruments
By Claudine Jones

After all my years of involvement (to a greater or lesser extent) in
collecting and observing automatic music, it's never been clearer than
now that we desperately need _demonstrations_ of every possible kind
to help ourselves and the next generations preserve our treasures.

Anybody with a camera (which is practically everyone!) can begin or
continue to make recordings of restoration projects. Include tips and
tricks and favorite products -- explain the steps involved, anticipate
the questions, show the pitfalls.

I fail to see the downside of at least having a record of work that has
been done, a record that is waiting for someone clever out there who
needs some help to take advantage of. The world is just too big for us
all to huddle together in someone's workshop (my first choice).
