Refinishing Seeburg Coin Piano Components
By Dewey Bracy

Can someone provide some simple advice on refinishing the stack, etc.,
of my 1909 Seeburg B? Someone had painted it gold, which is easily
coming off, revealing some green and some black original finish, as
well as some bare areas. I'm aware that the components of early
Seeburgs were done in a green stain then shellac, and I'm willing to
consider going that direction or black, depending of availability and
ease of application.

Also, what about stain and shellac vs. paint? I am a garage hobbyist,
and I don't have access to a professional sprayer, so will need to be
able to use a brush and/or spray can to achieve a decent finish.
Thanks for your help.
