FS: Keller & Kern Archive of Carl Frei Music
By Gerhard Kern

Hello, Along with my partner, Frederic Keller, I am shown as
a vendor in your list, "Organ Rolls / Strips / Cardboard".

Frederic Keller died last year, at 73 years old. I myself would now
like to sell the entire archive. It consists of original templates
for many types of crank-organs, a total of approximately 4,000 titles
equating to approximately 80,000 meters of punched music.

Can you help me, through the list, to find prospective customers?

Kind regards,

  Crank-organ music

In 1993 we acquired the entire music archive of Carl Frei Jr. It is,
for the most part, the original templates [stencils] from the legacy of
various Waldkirch barrel organ factories. The archive also includes
new templates as more are added constantly.

The replicating of the notes on paper roll or cardboard is done by
hand according to traditional ways of working; alternatively, for some
time we are able to read the original template in the MIDI format.
This new technology puts us in the position to punch music for organ
scales for which the original actually was not provided, or to make
modifications to pieces.

If you want to order music, clarify beforehand with us about the various
parameters and the scale and the medium. The purchasing of music from
us, in any form, does not authorize further reproduction by the buyer.
