On Sunday, February 1, 2015, I attended the Memorial Service for 
Hi Babit.  He passed on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.  By now you all
know that Hi, among many other things, was one of the great piano
players who cut many QRS rolls.

The one hour service was held at the Star of David Memorial Chapel
in North Lauderdale, Florida.  It was attended by about 200 family
and friends.  Several people spoke about the many, many various
accomplishments of Hi during his 97 years.  Actually, the Rabbi said it
was more like a "roast" to Hi and it would have been just the way he
wanted it.  His remains are being transported to Paramus, New Jersey,
for burial where there will be another service before his interment.

This is all very sad news for everyone in the mechanical music arena.
Hi, we will all miss you.
