Band Organ Music as MIDI Files
By Gordon Forcier

Hello everyone, Well, it's been a while since I posted anything on
MMD, but I now have to put in my 2 cents worth. I was just on Gold
Leaf Galleries website and I heard the "Hogan's Heroes Theme" playing
on the site on a virtual 153 band organ and, my goodness, was I thrown
for a loop. The arranger, Patrick Nese, did a fantastic job on that
song.

Now, mind you, I have a 153 Wurlitzer that only plays rolls, but the
song is done in MIDI, so now I'm going to put a MIDI system on my
organ and get all of the files from Mr. Adams to play on the organ.
He also has files of the late Rich Olsen and David Stumpf's music in
MIDI. I do have all of the Rich Olsen rolls, so I won't need those
MIDI files, but some of Dave Stumpf's I don't all have. He also has
MIDI files for Styles 125 and 165, besides 150.

I suggest that if anyone out there has a MIDI system on their organ
or plans to install one, get your files from Andy Adams. Also go to
his website and give a listen to some of the songs that he has on his
site, including "Tain't No Sin To Take Off Your Skin and Dance Around
in Your Bones".

Happy Organing to all,

Gordon Forcier
