Mr. Jan van Eijk, Dutch organ builder, passed away this morning
(3-14-14) at 1 AM in the hospital after short illness.

Jan van Eijk mainly built street organs, 52-key series, which were
sold all over the world. Many organs were bought by people in the UK,
but also in The Netherlands we have a couple of 52-key Jan van Eijk
street organs, such as 'de Frans Hals, 'de Rembrandt' and the family's
own organ and most famous 'de Anton Pieck'. One of the largest organs
he built was a 90-key Carl Frei system concert organ, 'de Ruisdael'.
He will be missed by many.

Sincerely,
Stefan Batist
