Music Rolls Converted to MIDI Files
By John J. Breen

In 150312 MMDigest, Gordon Forcier mentioned the MIDI files on the
Gold Leaf Galleries website. As a reminder, I want to mention that
I can convert virtually any type of roll to MIDI (I did most of the
conversions for the Gold Leaf Galleries). If it is a format that
I have already created the conversion programs for, the cost is only
$3 per tune plus round trip shipping costs. If it is a format I have
not converted previously, there will be a small fee for creating the
programs and roll interface hardware.

The limitation of my scanner is 22" for the roll width. To date,
I have converted Violano, Wurlitzer 125, Wurlitzer 150, Wurlitzer 165,
88-note piano, A, and G rolls as well as VB89 book music. I currently
have approximately 6000 Violano tunes, 2000 Wurlitzer 150 tunes and
1200 G roll tunes that I use for my own machines.

Always check before shipping rolls to me to make sure I have time
available and that I have not already scanned another copy of your
roll. For the Wurlitzer 150 rolls, I will only provide MIDI files
for rolls that are owned by the buyer.
