"Popcorn and Bees" for Band Organ
By Ken Vaughn

I'm just getting caught up on my MMD reading and came across the
discussion subject, "Popcorn and Bees," that appears in the list of
topics of several issues. That sounded very interesting so I scrolled
down and was very disappointed to learn that "Popcorn and Bees" was
not the title of a lively band organ or concert band tune but instead
a pest control problem!

I wish I was a composer -- "Popcorn and Bees" could be a great title
for a new piece of music. Maybe a compilation of "Flight of the Bumble
Bee" and a pop tune that I recall from the 1970s (I think) that had
a popping-corn-like rhythm and synthesized sound.

[ A great idea! "Bees" rhymes easily with "wheeze", "sneeze" and
[ "please", and of course the old song, "Bees' Knees"! Send us some
[ text and let's write a melody for it. -- Robbie
