Readers may be interested to know that there is a Taylor-Aeolian Carillon Player System still in regular use in the Church of All Hallows-by-The-Tower in the City of London. The roll player unit is electrically coupled to the playing machine in the bell tower. The church has a collection of 20 or so original rolls, featuring arrangements of English folk music, marches, etc. but these are rarely played. Instead, the carillon plays 'change ringing' on Sundays from rolls re-cut by The Southport Roll Company as the original rolls were worn out through constant use.
