Hello Jody,  I will try to give you a certain image of myself according
to your question [150808 MMDigest].  I think MMD is a very good forum
and a contact place for many collectors of mechanical musical instruments
-- like myself!  I like very much to take a look at the MMD site; it
makes contacts and advice can be taken or given to everyone in the
group.

I am now past the 75 years of age, and I still have what I think is the
most complete collection of reproducing pianos in France; the interest
here is not like in the USA.  I have in addition to this a very rich
collection of documents about European instruments -- many never
published.  I started to collect in the end of the 1950s so there are
many things I have found.

I came into your site through Robbie Rhodes, who I had the pleasure to
learn to know here in Paris, while he and his wife were here as
tourists.

Your site is very good as it is.  What I would like to discuss more is
music around all mechanical music recordings -- but that is another
topic.
