Lester Player Piano Valve Problems

I suspect you do not have enough wobble on these valves.  They
should rock but not move up and down on the stem.  They should also
have 0.035" to 0.040" travel.  0.055" is _way_ too much travel.
If travel is too much, fast repeating notes will lose lots of steam
and need way too much pedaling.  Also, valve seats should be sanded
flat on 400 paper.

Too much [new] valve leather leaks like a sieve.  I test all leather
before I buy it.
