Mechanical Music Auction in Cologne 7 Nov. 2015

Dear MMDs,  Auction Team Breker's large sale Autumn sale of
Mechanical Music, Science & Technology is scheduled for 7 November
in Cologne, Germany.

The mechanical music section of the sale (around 250 lots) features
several rarities, including a Hugo Popper "Humor" barrel orchestrion
(Lot 399.1), an Empire organ timepiece attributed to Christian Ernst
Kleemeyer (Lot 420), an Eroica Style 38A clock (Lot 492) and a
Polyphone No. 5 Automatic Disc-Changer (Lot 483) from the former
collection of Jan Brauers.

Rare formats amongst the cylinder musical boxes include a
three-per-turn "Expressifs" box by Lecoultre with 19 1/2 x 5-inch
cylinder(Lot 616), a forte-piano grand format by Heller (Lot 619)
and a 'duplex' musical box with contra-rotating cylinders (Lot 576).

The earliest musical box offered in the auction is a fine gold
sur-plateau 'vinaigrette' with enameled view of Baden in the lid
(Lot 606).  Also on offer is a good selection of musical automata
highlighted by a Vichy "Lune Fin de Siecle" (Lot 628) and an
equilibrist on ball, also by Vichy (Lot 629).
