Rebuilding Chase and Baker Piano Player
By Doug Vensel

I am about to embark on a rebuild of a Chase and Baker piano player.
I did the wooden case over a few years back and the pumps and lower
unit was done about two years ago. Once I get this done I'd like to
sell it but I have no idea what to ask. Can anyone advise me on this
as to the value of a rebuilt unit?

Also, it comes with about 25 Chase and Baker rolls that are used for
this unit. They are 65-note, pin-end rolls and all in very good
condition. I appreciate all the help.

By the way, the Lester player piano I was doing came out beautiful
and plays better than it did when it was new. The guidance and advice
I received from everyone on this site was priceless in my quest to do
a professional job. Happily, I will leave the profession to you folks
and just "putter" at it as a hobby, though. This piano player project
is my own this time. Thanks again!
