Seeburg Orchestrion Whereabouts Sought
By Mike Miller

I'm trying to just locate the whereabouts of a Seeburg orchestrion
purchased by a Copenhagen museum sometime after it was restored in
North Adams, Mass USA in 1972. It had formerly been a fixture at the
Sand Springs resort pavilion in Williamstown, Mass. I am doing a story
about the history of Sand Springs and, although I have newspaper photos
of the device, several members of our history group have wondered
exactly where the instrument is today. I was told by the widow of
former owner Richard Wildermuth that it was purchased by a Copenhagen
Museum.

Any help or information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Mike Miller,
Williamstown Historical Museum
Williamstown, Mass.

[ The mention of a Copenhagen museum makes me think that Mike Miller
[ must be referring to the Mekanisk Musik Museum, once owned by the
[ late Claes O. Friberg in partnership with Q. David Bowers, now
[ living in Wolfeboro Falls, New Hampshire. Dave Bowers should be
[ able to shed light on this matter. The museum's collection was
  [ sold at auction in 1981 by Christie's, which issued a 76-page
  [ catalog for the auction.
