History of Aeolian Player Pipe Organ Opus 1280
By Bob Taylor

In October of 2014, we hosted a weekend celebration for the centennial
of our Aeolian pipe organ. Four groups attended the event. As a
preview, we had prepared a video giving background for the Aeolian
Company and specifically, the history of our Opus 1280 prior to the
actual program present on the organ.

That video has been modified to remove references to the centennial
celebration. Also, certain background broadcasts heard in the video
were muted to avoid copyright issues. New examples of pipe voices
were inserted to improve the production.

Now that updated video is available on YouTube. It is just shy of
20 minutes in length. Intended to be educational, the video does
not present full musical performances as most YouTube presentations
normally do.

Even though the video is 20 minutes long, the history and facts
presented move along briskly. I invite anyone interested in this
subject to view the presentation at https://youtu.be/yskdxuCVHIw
