Rejuvenating Brittle Player Piano Rolls

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas, suggestions or solutions as to
how to rejuvenate brittle player rolls to reduce or minimize further
deterioration.  I have many older rolls that "self-destruct" at the
slightest glitch.  Thanks!
