Janet Elaine Obenchain, the author of the pioneering book, "Complete
Catalog of Ampico Reproducing Rolls," has passed away at age 82.

Her last name is certainly one that rings familiar in the hobby.  What
an eye-opening work it must have been when it first came out, allowing
the player community to really appreciate the depth and breadth of
recorded works for this instrument.  And it is a listing that is still
being added to today by avid collectors.
