Seek Valve Stems for Double Valve Action
By Lance Reed

Hello everyone, I am restoring an early Krakauer 65-note player
with a Standard(?) double valve action and have mislaid eight valve
stems. Would anyone have about ten I could purchase?

The valve stems are very small in diameter -- approximately 0.080"
(smooth part) and the threaded part is 0.090" to 0.092". The threads
are as follows: from pouch button end a scant 1/4-inch of thread,
then smooth for 7/16-inch, then threaded for 10/16-inch, then smooth.
The overall length is 1-11/16-inch.

Also, does anyone know where I could purchase a leather punch with
a small enough cut that would allow adequate grip of leather punchings
on the threaded portion of the stems not to slip? Any help would be
much appreciated. Thank you.
