FS: 7'4" Weber Duo-Art Grand in New Hampshire
By Thomas Ahearn

A piano technician with over forty years in the field is retiring
due to bad health. He is located in New Hampshire and has well over
seventy pianos in three buildings; a number of them are player pianos
(nothing outstanding). However, among his collection of instruments
is a very interesting early 7'4" Weber grand which I believe ought to
be restored.

Almost all of the grands are on their side, close together; it is
difficult to see exactly what is in there. The huge Weber has a
Duo-Art spoolbox sitting on top of the piano; the spoolbox looks to
be newer (late 'teens or early 'twenties) whereas the piano is early
'teens. (Aeolian was famous for upgrading components.) There is also
a lyre box with foot pump. I do not know if it has an electric pump
also; I couldn't get a good look at the bottom of the piano because
stuff is crammed in very tightly.

Those old Webers were really good instruments; I'd hate to think that
it will simply be junked. He's looking for $500 for the piano but he
may just give it away -- he has to dispose of this stuff.

Contact me if you have possible interest in saving this rare piano;
I can put you directly in touch with the individual. (I have no
interest in the sale of the piano other than that I'd like to see it
saved.)
