DeWitte Street Organ History
By John Ravert, Sr.

I am writing a history of The DeWitte Street Organ to share at this
summer's rallies. The organ has undergone another revision with the
addition of two wood blocks, an independent rhythm cymbal, triangle,
and additional rank of 8' open bass pipes filling out the 90-key
Carl Frei scale.

The library of music has more than doubled with the work of Tom Meijer.
I am hoping to have a professional recording of it to go along with
the history. I have heard many stories, please retell them.

I am also looking for any photos of its construction, so I call upon
John Paige and Judith Howard to share. When was it made? Also, does
anyone have photos of it with its previous owners?

Thank you for your support and input. :) Please email your input to
jgravert@windstream.net.geentroep [delete ".geentroep" to reply].
