Regina 20-3/4" Folding Top Style 27
By Jamie Brewer

It is a long story but finally I am getting my Style 27 Folding Top
Regina into shape. I've owned this 20-3/4" box for 40+ years. The
serial number is 31949. In the long ago past the coin slot, coin
trip mechanism and lock were removed and an on/off lever was installed.
Celluloid instruction sheets were installed to the motor board to cover
the holes.

This box is made from oak but has a brown or mahogany finish which
looks to be original. I would love to check the Regina records to see
if this box left the factory in an oak or mahogany case.

The picture of the case interior shows the raw oak with the darker
stain above where the motor boards would be installed.

I often wonder if this music box was a "rush order" for a mahogany
style 27 where Regina used what they had on hand.
