Rebuilding, Restoring, Repairing
By Thomas Binnall

Repaired, Restored and last but not least, Refurbished

I've a late OR Steinway "Cow and Calf", 1920. The stack is original.
The signal tubing to it from the tracker bar had to be replaced, as
well the cloth on the wind motor, and finally last year the accordions
and Duo-Art box regulators were recovered. All the strings/felt are
factory Steinway, and I'd defy anyone saying restringing/felting would
make it sound any better. The finish is wrinkled a bit here and there.

I'm going to encourage anyone getting custody of the piano after me,
to leave it alone as much as possible. There are rare occasions when
a piano or person gets old gracefully. When that happens, it's my
delight to let well enough alone.
