I have finally figured out a fairly good way to convert the upwards
motion of the striker fingers into downward motion.  This method
requires less modification of either the player action or the keyboard
than the prior method I had envisioned.  I am surprised that I didn't
think of it before.  The prior method would not have been conductive
to good performance of the player, and would have placed a lot more
stress on the pneumatics.

Has anyone here ever had a situation where they thought, "There's just
_no_ way out," and then suddenly realized that the solution was right
in front of them?  I sure felt that way this time!
