I am sort of thinking the music is ballet music.  I can't put my
finger on it just yet, but I have heard it before.  Adolphe Adam's
"Giselle" seems to be a good possibility...

I don't think it is Delibes' "Sylvia" ballet, but I could be mistaken
there also.
