Hi Charles,  I'm sure I can assist you with a replacement winding key.
The cost usually is $3.00 but the kicker is that we have a minimum
shipping and handling fee of $7.95 Domestic or $17.95 International
(except Canada).  (Please see contact information below).

However, I (or whomever else you find) will need more information and
some clarification about the musical mechanism, its maker (Thorens?),
number of notes on the musical comb (18 or 22 notes), and whether or
not it is actually a "Top" or "Bottom" winding mechanism, and what
the diameter and threading of the winding key stem are.

The photograph is a bit confusing because:

a. It appears to be a vintage Thorens 18 or 22 note musical mechanism
(of a type of which normally has a "T" shaped bottom winding key
mechanism from either Thorens or Lador) inside a cast metal piano;

b. The photo of the key pictured, would lead one to believe that you
are looking for a "ring head/folding top" winding key, but the main
spring bell housing on the mechanism has a "Maltese cross" part of a
"Geneva Stop" assembly which would generally preclude the mechanism
from being a top winder;

c. If it is a "Top Winder", then I would strongly suspect that the
protruding "winding" stem is a square cut post and not a cylindrical
threaded post.

If it is a "Top Winder" with a threaded stem then it will require
a reverse threaded key because the mechanism is likely to wind
counterclockwise verses the typical clockwise motion of a "bottom
winder."
