I just discovered that Gordon Osser of Hayward passed away on June
23rd, 2017.  Gordon was an early advocate for mechanical music.
My understanding is that he was either the first President of the
San Francisco AMICA chapter, or the first President of AMICA.
Perhaps others on this board can sort out those details.

I met him in a music theory class and found out later of his long-time
interest in mechanical music.  He was one of the most enthusiastic
people I've known and was a life-long learner.  An obit is available at
