One thing I do when I take my organ out is to put out a box with
my back issues of all the magazines I get from MBSI, AMICA, COAA,
FOPS, etc., with a sign inviting members of the public to take one.

I don't know whether any new recruits to the hobby have come in that
way, but I'd think it increases the chance that someone will follow up
after taking interest in the organ.  It has the very beneficial side
effect of reducing clutter in my basement!
