The "Einstein" Ampico in Colorado
By Peter Neilson

The "Einstein" piano was in terrible shape a few years ago, but it
seems to have been picked up by someone who then had it restored by
Ralph Nielsen of Historic Pianos in Utah. The before-and-after of
the restoration is in this video:

Ralph is known to us, and contributed this excellent article on glue:

The piano was at Princeton, New Jersey. It was not Einstein's, because
he had a Bechstein. Now somehow it is in Denver.

But $75,000? Perhaps someone is hoping that lightning will strike.
You can buy a letter written and signed by Einstein for considerably
less than that -- or for a lot more if you are fussy about which
Einstein letter you want!

Then there is the usual caveat about Craigslist: Is the seller
actually the owner? Or is it a fake listing? Do not buy sight unseen.
