Per my most knowledgeable sister in New York, and my "Crazy Half
Brother" in Georgia, the music box mechanism is definitely a Paillard
Sublime Harmony.

Mia Culpa!  As a vintage and contemporary repair person, I ignorantly
made the mistake of identifying the ball and pin emergency stop
mechanism on this mechanism as being a "Jacot" stop, which it is not.
As has been politely brought to my attention (and edification), Jacot
worked with or for Mermod, who held the patent on the "Jacot" stop.
Ergo, were it a "Jacot" stop it would have been a Mermod mechanism.

The correction aside -- and the suggestion made by my "Crazy Half
Brother" in Georgia to cut the mechanism into smaller sections to fit
in some available empty cases he has -- we are still looking for a
suitable "Casket" for this exceptionally large Paillard mechanism.
