Passing of Gordon Tussing
By Matthew Caulfield

I was sad to read in the July 2018 issue of the COAA's "Carousel Organ"
that Gordon Tussing died on April 29, 2018. The 17.09.26 MMD had
announced that Gordon would be reaching the century mark in his life
span on January 16, 2018, and he did.

Gordon was the second "T" in the T.R.T. Manufacturing Company, which
he owned along with his father Ralph Tussing and uncle Lloyd Robbins.
T.R.T. continued the Wurlitzer band organ and music roll business for
27 years after taking it over from the Rudolph Wurlitzer Company until
Ralph Tussing's death on June 29, 1974.

Lloyd Robbins was never active in the company, leaving its operation
to the two Tussings, Ralph being the more active owner even though his
son Gordon outlived him by many decades.
