A word to the wise:  If you use synthetic lubricants -- including
Teflon, silicone and the likes -- 'good luck' refinishing the piece
should it require it.  This assumes that as little as one drop migrated
to the case at some point.  This will at least cause fish eyes in the
finish, or worse.
