Henk Strengers will indeed be sorely missed by the mechanical music
world.  Until recently Henk was a member of many of the well-known
mechanical music societies for which he wrote numerous articles, not
only about musical boxes, in particular Kalliope, but also of other
types of mechanical musical instruments and their makers.

For his work he received the MBSI 1987 Q. David Bowers Literary Award
and the President's Award in 1998.  His large archive about the subject
he donated to the Utrecht museum Speelklok.
