Music Roll Scanners & Readers Inventory
By John McClelland

Greetings all, I am curious to know how many rolls readers and roll
scanners are in existence at this time. With the convergence of digital
technology and hard core interest of those who want rolls to listen to,
the rise of MIDI files has encouraged numerous enthusiasts to more
actively develop means of obtaining music.

That said, there seems to be increasing appearances of readers and
scanners in our hobby that make such access to the rolls more readily
available. I am researching the subject for a presentation at the
AMICA convention this coming July. I would also like to include any
devices in other countries that are in existence.

If you wish to remain anonymous, please reply directly to my email
address below. I would like to include both active and inactive readers
and scanners. My interest is most academic; I have no intention of
attempting to purchase or attempt to have any of my rolls read.

Thanks in advance,

John McClelland
