1920s Amusement Park Photo In YouTube Video
By Fred Dahlinger

Dave: The organ in the "Sunday" music video is a Gebruder Bruder
No. 107, 52-keyless, installed behind a Wm. F. Mangels ride, the
Teaser [patented 1911], at Luna Park, Coney Island.

There are at least two major pipe specifications, an early one with
maybe 150 pipes and a later one, post-war, with about 200, and many
of those are roll-operated. Earlier organs were sometimes rebuilt to
play rolls -- all 107s shared the same basic scale, though subsequent
variants have arisen in recent times.

The one in the photo is an early version, based on the façade style,
which appears in some pre-WW1 catalogues. One or two like it are still
in Europe, one specifically came out of Scandinavia and is now in a
Russian collection: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1gYmOP-yLY It is
an earlier machine that has been converted to rolls circa 1925.

The Luna photo is in a collection posted online and reproduced often.

Best regards,
Fred Dahlinger
