The 2023 Circus Calliope and Mechanical Music Festival will be
held on Friday June 16th, Saturday June 17th, and Sunday June 18th
at the grounds of the International Circus Hall of Fame outside Peru,

I attended the first festival last summer, and boy, was it a hoot!
I gave a talk on the history of Thomas J. Nichol, the leading
calliope manufacturer of the turn of the twentieth century. There
were exhibitors from all across the country, and probably the largest
congregation of steam calliopes present in one spot in history.

I strongly recommend that any aficionado of calliopes, calliaphones,
band organs, and the like head to Peru this summer for the second annual
gathering of like-minded crazy people!
