Unknown Cabinet-style Barrel Organ
By Philippe Crasse

[ Ref. Jim Quashnock in 230409 MMDigest

Hi Jim and dear MMDer's, Despite the fact that I did not put my hands
inside, it seems this organ was made by Gavioli.

The pipework, the floral marquetry at the bottom of the facade and
the mechanical parts are of this origin. The number (6417) is coherent
with others numbers from this workshop.

It is not unusual that the cylinder is branded by Limonaire, a company
that bought Gavioli at the turn of the century and which continued
the custom relationship by creating new musical support.

Best regards from the rainy south of France!
