With the New Year we gain legal access to more music. For works
published in the United States the cutoff date for public domain music
advances one year each January 1st for music published before 1978.

My understanding is that:

a. All sheet music published prior to 1929 entered the U.S. Public
Domain in 2024.

b. All Sound Recordings Prior to 1925 entered the U.S. Public Domain
in 2024.

I hope the roll scanners will take note and share more goodies.
