QRS WF Label Doesn't Say "WORD ROLL"
By Lee Rothrock

Hello, I asked yesterday if anyone had seen a QRS Word Roll that
wasn't identified as such on the box. At the same time I contacted
the seller of the roll in question, and that party posted pictures
of the lyrics on the site, so we got our question answered: not
every QRS "WORD ROLL" is so identified. The wary piano roll buyer
may well find this tidbit handy.

I researched the title and didn't have any luck until searching for
the words revealed by the screenshot. I found reference to a song
with a different title and the words scrambled a bit, but the melody
was recognizable by the holes in the screenshot.

Conclusion: not every foreign language roll can be counted on to match
what it says on the box!

[ The piano roll words begin, "Einst lebte ich in mein Vaterlande"
[ (Once I lived in my Fatherland), the title of a Tyrolean folk song.
[ Ref. https://sammlung.tiroler-landesmuseen.at/tvlw/22682 "Ich lebte
[ einst im Deutschen Vaterlande" seems to be an alternate title.
