Hi Guys, Does anyone have a surefired way to seal the Ampico spool
shut-off hole on the take-up spool so that it seals when the roll
is on and turns off when the roll is not covering the signal hole?

I realize that some of the paper is curled and won't seal properly,
but even with roll paper that seems to be snug, it is not consistent
-- it sometimes works, sometimes not.

The leak is not in the axle seal. I have overcome that problem. No
matter what kind of leather I've tried, it will not work consistently.
What are your thoughts? Thanks. :)
