Seek "The Fives" QRS 2370 for Loan to MoMA
By Mike Walter

Hi All, I have just received an e-mail from a staff member at the
Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, https://www.moma.org/

The museum is planning a display and program of music from the 1920s,
including bebop tunes that were or are still available on piano
rolls. One tune that they are specifically interested in is a copy
of the QRS roll, "The Fives" (QRS 2370), that was recorded in 1923
by J. Lawrence Cook shortly after he started working for QRS.

Might anyone have a copy of the roll that they would loan to the
Museum of Modern Art for a period of time, to be placed on display
in the museum and perchance be played on a fully restored period
instrument? If you'd like to be a part of MOMA history, please
contact julia_curl@moma.org.geentroep [delete ".geentroep" to reply]

I am certain that she will be more than happy to hear from you!

Best wishes,

Mike Walter

P.S.: QRS does not have a copy of the roll. I don't even have
a copy of the label.
