MIDI-fying a Gem Roller Organ
By Phil Dayson

Has anybody MIDI-fied or know about MIDI-fied Gem roller organ?
I've just realised that the scale of a 20-note Gem organ is almost
identical to a 20-note Raffin scale.

If a Gem organ was MIDI-fied it should be able to play reasonably
well any MIDI organ that uses a Raffin scale. It could be a very
interesting "hybrid". On a fully chromatic organ it might work
even better.

Because of the wide pallets that move quite a distance, it should
be very easy to MIDI-fy, I believe. There is an enormous selection
of cobs out there as well as the possibility of getting new music
pinned on them as well.
