I am in possession of a 58-note air calliope, housed in a wooden
cabinet with arts-and-crafts-style glass, complete with a small
mounted slide whistle. The instrument, as far as I can tell, has
no identifying manufacturer's marks. I purchased the calliope
last year from the estate of Maurice Finkel, instrument collector
of Shelbyville, Indiana.
If anyone has the expertise to help determine the provenance of
this calliope, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
