As requested way back in December, I finally got a good photo of the AMPICO smokestack that's still standing on the grounds of the old factory in East Rochester, NY.
Hey, maybe now we can make up T-shirts that say "I saw the Ampico stack!!" Heh heh, eh, aw, nevermind.
Currently, the factory grounds are a mini shopping mall (Piano Works Mall), consisting of numerous small shops- a diner, a video store, a hair salon, pizza, insurance, etc. The smokestack is in the middle of the parking lot because the building around it was demolished during renovations to create the mall- only part of the factory still stands today.
