New Survey at Player-Care
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Well, they say good things come in threes. So Player-Care
has three new changes.

One, I've started another survey. This time it's a real statistically
based survey unlike the previous 'open-opinion' poll. Participants
have only two choices. The survey asks the question: Do you prefer
to use a private 800 number or a secure webpage to give your credit
card number to pay for Internet purchases. Right now, the survey will
be limited to the first 300 responses. If that number is reached in
a very short time (say two weeks or less), I will increase the
number accordingly to a maximum of 1000.

You might rightly ask: What does this have to do with mechanical
music? Personally and professionally, I think it means a lot. An
increasing number of member websites are offering credit card
purchases and I'd like to determine which method people prefer.

Two, another webpage has been added to Player-Care in response to
a visitors question concerning 'why his keys don't go up and down'
when the player piano is working. (see Key Balance)

Third, I am pleased to announce that Player-Care is now accepting
Visa and MasterCard payment for QRS roll and accessory orders.

Note: One of Andy Taylor's newer MIDI files, "Over the Waves", graces
the Key Balance page.

Musically,
John A. Tuttle (john@player-care.com)

P.S. There have been numerous changes at Player-Care over the past
few weeks. There are some new pages about testing the player piano,
new links to other related sites, some new technicians listings,
new animated gif images (on various pages) and new and/or updated
MIDI files.

By the way, I'm now looking for player technicians in Alaska and
Delaware! Still shooting for at least one tech in every state in
the Union!
