Who Is Cutting What Rolls?
By Matthew Caulfield

Tim Trager told me last night that someone is getting ready to cut
Artizan rolls. I forget who Tim said he was, but not Ed Openshaw, who
owns machines capable of doing that, I think.

At various time in the past I have been asked whether there is anyone
who can cut Artizan rolls, but now I have lost track of who those
people are who would want to know the name of the person who is going
to be able to fill their need.

There are so many roll cutting projects out there now that I can see a
growing need for someone to act as a clearing house for this rather
specialized information. Would it be an appropriate service of the MMD
web page to provide this information or to provide a link to a place
(maybe Paul's directory of mechanical music services) where the
information would be centralized?

Maybe I am just suffering from too much chocolate rabbit this Easter
day.

[ I am planning a page at the MMD web site to display technical data
[ such as tracker bar scales and music box scales, and with links to
[ other pages and sites dealing with player-organs of all sorts.
[ News about re-cutting capabilities and projects would be welcome.
 [ Other suggestions?? -- Robbie
