Parcels & UK Customs Examination
By John Farrell

Joyce Brite discussed some shipping classes employed by UPS and FedEx.
I should warn my fellow British residents that every time I have used
FedEx to import goods from USA the package has been subjected to
Customs examination, invariably incurring a hefty financial penalty
(sometimes in excess of the value of the contents). Only rarely does
this happen if the package is sent through regular Post Office
channels.

I now tell my American suppliers not to use FedEx when sending packages
to me.
