FS: Ampico 'A' Grand Reproducing System, Complete
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Against all my advice, a customer had me completely remove
the entire Ampico A reproducing mechanism from her Knabe 5' 4" grand.
It is now for sale for $1,200.

Every single piece of the mechanism was removed, including the drawer
tracks, all brackets, electrical boxes and wiring, and various mounting
blocks. Naturally, it will have to be rewired and completely retubed,
but nothing in the mechanism was broken or missing. There was one
broken piece of wood on the front of the drawer, but I have the broken
piece. The total removal process took me and a helper just over five
hours plus travel time. I would estimate that the cost of shipping,
which will be handled by an outside firm, will run around $400. Or,
you can come and pick up the pieces yourself.

I firmly believe this system will work once the tubing is replaced
because it was trying to work even though a number of the tubes leading
to the drawer were disconnected or broken.

If interested, send me an email (john@player-care.com) or call me at
1-732-840-8787.

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
