Aeolian Organ Artist Alfred Hollins
By Robert Perry
Re: John Miller's roll of "Triumphal March".
"Alferd" appears to be a misprint for Alfred. A quick Google search
reveals that Hollins was a blind organist. There's a photo and good
biography here: http://www.musicweb.uk.net/Hollins/
His compositions, however, are described as 'Typically light and airy.
More often than not tuneful with fairly conventional harmonies' --
something that couldn't be said about "Triumphal March"!
